Job Summary

The Project Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for industrial HVAC and process mechanical systems design for multiple ongoing projects. You will project manage from kickoff to programming, schematic design, and development of construction documents as well as construction administration up to project close-out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and track project delivery schedule;
  • Develop and allocate fees for mechanical engineering work;
  • Perform analysis and design of industrial buildings/projects;
  • Facilitate the design of engineering plans from preliminary through construction phases;
  • Technical writing for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, and narratives for non-technical audience explaining engineering concepts to facilitate decision-making;
  • Seal construction documents;
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, multi-discipline teams, contractors, and government agency personnel;
  • Travel may be required;

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering;
  • 5-10 years of experience in mechanical/HVAC design;
  • 2-5 years of project management experience;
  • Experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients as a project manager or engineering lead;
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Pipe-Flo, Caesar or Autopipe pipe stress software, Trane Trace, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office applications;
