This position is responsible for leading the design and development of advanced electronics systems for HITACHI ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics engineering and experience in leading cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design plans for advanced electronics systems, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software-defined mobility solutions, including development of technical documentation and design specifications.
  • Provide direction on design and development activities to improve, modify or design new products, ensuring compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Oversee the review of product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements, ensuring legal compliance in all engineering product design activities.
  • Support all business objectives of the company by aligning Design Engineering activities with the organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a safe workplace and follow all regulations and requirements related to safety and environmental compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related area required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years prior related experience with Master's degree and Minimum 7 years with Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of development or industry experience in ADAS is required.
  • Minimum one of mass production development experience in ADAS or EMS is required.
  • Exposure to Automotive engineering is required, including the following: An understanding of automotive components and expected qualities, Knowledge of lessons and learns about mass production.

Working Conditions:

Primarily in a professional business office with exposure to testing areas and periodic exposure to manufacturing environments. Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Have the ability to work 40-60 hours per week. Domestic and international travel may be required as needed.
