The clinical nurse specialist is a registered nurse responsible for delivering and coordinating comprehensive nursing care for patients. This role involves engaging in patient and family education, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to uphold the standards of nursing practice.

Essential qualities for this position include outstanding interpersonal skills, characterized by a positive attitude, a warm and friendly demeanor, and a deep commitment to providing care and respect to patients, families, colleagues, and guests.


EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
Preferred: One (1) year of experience in mental health nursing.
Must possess a Registered Nurse license from the Washington Department of Health prior to the start date or transfer date.

Certification Requirements:

Must have one or more of the following certifications:

  • Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to the start date or transfer date.
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to the start date or transfer date.
  • Heart Saver AED certification specializing in First Aid from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to the start date or transfer date.
  • CPR-First Aid Heart Saver certification.

Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse population is essential.


This position is part of a union.


SALARY RANGE:
$60.48 per hour

SIGN-ON BONUS:
(Pro-Rated for Part-Time Positions)
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus for New Graduates
  • $15,000 sign-on bonus for RNs with 1-3 years of experience
  • $25,000 sign-on bonus for RNs with over 3 years of experience
