Pediatric Nurse Specialist Job Description

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient's condition and chart effectively
  • Perform evaluation tasks such as vital signs and medication review
  • Provide physical support such as tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
