Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in the 3T Telemetry unit, working a 7P shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients, making nursing diagnoses and developing plans of care based on comprehensive assessments.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel, ensuring patient safety and considering their educational preparation, experience, and abilities.
  • Implement measures to promote a safe environment for patients and others, and administer medications and treatments correctly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and unit activities, adhering to standards.
  • Clarify any orders or treatment regimens that may be inaccurate, non-efficacious, or contraindicated, consulting with licensed practitioners as needed.
  • Institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize patients' conditions and prevent complications.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS certification.
  • Unit-specific competencies obtained within six months of hire.
