Job Title: Foreman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to join our team at Hampton Roads Contracting, Inc.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 3-10 personnel, ensuring the quality and quantity of work performed meets our high standards. This includes:

  • Managing daily activities and training employees to improve work performance.
  • Maintaining safe working practices and protocols on the jobsite.
  • Performing various tasks such as wood and metal framing, concrete work, excavation, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Communicating effectively with crews, customers, subcontractors, and supervisors.
  • Creating and adhering to job schedules, planning job steps, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction crews.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to stand for long periods, and lift heavy materials.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
