The Nursing Unit Manager will bring the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to effectively oversee the daily operations of the clinical unit, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize resource utilization in a manner that is efficient, effective, and fiscally responsible, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care to all patients.
  • Identify, implement, and advocate for evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing input, throughput, and output processes.
  • Foster staff engagement by consistently providing support, compassion, and nurturing leadership within the unit.
  • Facilitate the strategic allocation of clinical resources through proactive planning, demonstrating the ability to address urgent and emergent clinical situations safely and effectively.
  • Act as a role model and mentor, empowering clinical staff to devise innovative solutions to meet patient needs while ensuring they receive the necessary support to practice within their full clinical scope.
  • Encourage and empower the clinical team to implement successful evidence-based practice changes to address improvement opportunities identified through quality and performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure the provision of quality patient care by coordinating organizational priorities under the guidance of the Clinical Director, assisting in the coordination of interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure cost-effective patient care.
  • Lead the collaboration of inter-professional care teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes for all patients.
  • Identify and support initiatives aimed at improving care quality, including enhancements in nursing-sensitive care quality indicators, effective care coordination, and the prevention of potential errors.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care environment.
  • Graduate from an NLN accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred or in progress within 6-12 months of hire.
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers);
