Key Responsibilities:- Construct intricate assemblies and sub-assemblies according to a detailed Bill of Materials.
- Utilize heating and cooling techniques to fit parts with interference.
- Accurately measure and document dimensions and clearances to within .001 inch.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the assembly and inspection processes for pump components.
- Demonstrate a high level of mechanical aptitude.
- Possess hands-on experience with the ability to interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
- Effectively use and comprehend micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Meet established performance standards consistently.
- Understand the tooling necessary for pump assembly.
- Comprehend the functions of individual components within pumps.
- Prepare shipping reports for quality assurance verification.
- Document relevant information on job requisitions.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a pump mechanic in the industry is preferred.
- Completion of a mechanic apprenticeship or journeyman status is advantageous.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in a similar mechanical role may be considered in lieu of direct pump industry experience.
- Ability to read and follow route sheets and blueprints accurately.
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive in ensuring tasks are completed correctly.
- Flexibility to work first or second shifts, with second shift positions offering premium pay.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet customer needs.
- Valid work authorization is required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical exams and drug screenings.
