Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Join American Sugar Refining as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sugar refineries. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Inform management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Perform layout, fabrication, installation, repairs, programming, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Utilize SAP to enter/manage maintenance work orders.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years maintenance experience, preferably within a food manufacturing facility.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits and power supplies, screw conveyors, elevators, gearboxes, motors, agitators, packaging equipment, actuators, and valves.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all phases of mechanical and electrical repair, including pump repair and rebuild, pipefitting, welding, fabricating, wiring, and unwiring of equipment.
  • Proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields.
