Position Overview:
Miller Electric is on the lookout for an experienced Accounting Manager to enhance our team of financial professionals. This role transcends traditional financial record management; it positions you as a key player in driving efficiency improvements and collaborating closely with the Division Controller to refine processes, contribute to Annual Planning, and analyze vital business metrics that guide our strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management and Reporting:
    Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare and communicate management reports effectively, while monitoring financial performance to identify trends and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    Guide and mentor the accounting team, fostering an understanding of financial impacts on business decisions. Collaborate with the Division Controller to plan and direct departmental work.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    Engage in cross-functional projects, applying a strategic mindset to simplify processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline, with a minimum of five years of comprehensive accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in ERP and Financial Reporting software, with a preference for Microsoft D365 expertise.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
