Position Overview:
The Floor Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring that the flooring in designated buildings and facilities remains clean and well-maintained. Responsibilities may encompass unplanned tasks, alerting management regarding maintenance requirements, and performing additional cleaning duties.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine cleaning tasks, including floor maintenance and carpet shampooing.
  • Accountable for mixing cleaning solutions according to manufacturer guidelines to avoid damaging surfaces.
  • Maintain building floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
  • Perform spot cleaning or carpet shampooing, as well as stripping, sealing, finishing, and polishing floors.
  • Operate vehicles (vans) for transportation to various job sites.
  • May require manual handling of equipment and supplies or utilizing a hand truck.
  • Inform the Manager or Lead of any significant repairs or additions needed for custodial equipment.
  • Communicate with the Manager or Lead regarding necessary supplies and equipment for cleaning or maintenance tasks.
  • Wash, dry, and fold cleaning rags and towels, with all team members sharing this responsibility.
  • Ensure daily task completion is documented to confirm that areas have been cleaned and the building is maintained.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism and a dedication to quality at all times.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:
* 2-3 years of experience in a Floor Maintenance role

Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Special Qualifications:
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
