Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at TerraTherm, Inc. as a Design and Implementation Specialist. This role involves working on a team for engineering design and field activities on multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transform concept layouts/designs into fabrication and installation drawings;
  • Develop electrical drawings and calculate power loads;
  • Coordinate with internal team and third parties to obtain all required electrical permits;
  • Coordinate, schedule, manage various electrical installation activities;
  • Coordination with other engineering disciplines for all projects;
  • Prepare detailed design, sizing, and calculations and verify and check designs completed by others;
  • Generate MTOs and shop work orders for electrical equipment, materials, and supplies;
  • Perform and supervise maintenance, testing and repair of company-owned electrical equipment;
  • Provide electrical design elements for company research and development projects.
Requirements:
  • Works well with others in a project team environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrates a degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and completing electrical system designs and implementation support;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized while doing so;
  • Have an open mind about alternative approaches to engineering design and problem solving;
  • 4-year College/University degree in electrical engineering or related subject preferred with relevant electrical engineering experience or an equivalent combination of skills and experience;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Ability to travel for meetings, site visits and project electrical activities as needed (expect less than 20% travel; durations typically two weeks or less).
