Senior Manager, Equity Compensation Administration

Viant Technology is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the administration of our equity incentive programs, including non-qualified stock options and restricted stock units. This pivotal role will manage the company's stock plans, ensuring effective communication with participants, processing of grants, tracking equity vesting, and maintaining accurate share pool accounting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the comprehensive activities related to equity compensation management.
- Generate regular and customized reports to facilitate financial disclosures, including Earnings Per Share and SEC filings.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and HR departments to create effective communications and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain the integrity of participant and equity data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and process equity award activities, including grants, vesting, and terminations.
- Conduct audits and reconciliations, managing large datasets and complex calculations.
- Work closely with Finance to project and budget equity compensation, supporting the monthly financial close process.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits related to equity compensation.
- Address tax-related inquiries from internal and external partners.
- Implement best practices for SOX controls related to equity management.
- Assess regulatory changes and their impact on existing processes, ensuring compliance.
- Manage relationships with third-party stock transfer agents.
- Ensure data integrity across Stock Administration, HR, and Payroll systems.
- Provide exceptional service to plan participants and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Oversee communications with Class B Unit holders.
- Maintain educational materials on equity topics for internal use.
- Participate in or lead additional projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in stock administration within a public company.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity.
- Experience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficient in building and sustaining professional relationships.
- Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with stock plan administration platforms, such as E*TRADE/Equity Edge Online.
- Possession of a CEP license is preferred.
