Overview

The Compensation Manager plays a critical role in shaping Weedmaps' total rewards programs. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering compensation programs, policies, and processes that align with the company's compensation philosophy and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compensation programs that drive business results and support the company's growth strategy.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure Weedmaps' compensation programs remain competitive and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs, recruiters, and managers to evaluate jobs and develop job descriptions, job analyses, and job classifications.
  • Manage salary and bonus programs across the organization, ensuring pay equity and fairness.
  • Develop and maintain salary bands and job grades, ensuring alignment with market data and company policies.
  • Communicate compensation data and trends to stakeholders, including business leaders and employees.
  • Partner with HR to create Total Rewards statements and communications that inform and educate employees about pay practices and programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in executing and managing employee compensation programs.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
  • Experience building compensation models and structures, as well as gathering and analyzing market data for compensation.
  • Computer proficiency with advanced skills using Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with stakeholders across all levels.
