Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, administering medications and treatments, and assessing and coordinating patient discharge plans.
Responsibilities:- Provides direct nursing care to patients in the ICU, including assessing and monitoring patient condition, administering medications and treatments, and implementing and monitoring patient care plans.
- Coordinates patient care with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
- Assesses and coordinates patient discharge plans, including arranging for transportation and follow-up care.
- Provides education and support to patients and their families, including teaching them about their condition, treatment options, and self-care.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to improve patient care.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the AHA, if required by the department.
- Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
