Operations Management Trainee

At POOLCORP, we're committed to developing the next generation of operations leaders. As an Operations Management Trainee, you'll join our team in a hands-on training program based in our distribution warehouse.

Through a combination of classroom training and on-the-job experience, you'll gain a deep understanding of our operations, including management, purchasing, and logistics. You'll also have the opportunity to shadow contractors, builders, and retail store customers to learn about their aspects of the swimming pool, irrigation, and landscaping business.

Upon completion of the program, you'll be eligible to apply for Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager roles available nationwide. Willingness to relocate at the end of training is a requirement, and relocation will be covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in classroom training sessions at our state-of-the-art EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.
  • Shadow contractors, builders, and retail store customers to learn about their aspects of the business.
  • Gain hands-on experience in every area of day-to-day operations, including operations, management, and purchasing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a leadership and/or problem-solving role.
  • Ability to relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $50,000 per year, based on a full-time schedule. Additionally, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commissions plans as well as relocation or cost of living adjustments.
