Position Overview

This role encompasses specialized tasks in the development and management of financial data at Midwest Manufacturing. Responsibilities include the preparation, development, and oversight of various financial documents and reports.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct audits on a range of financial documents, which may include:

  • Vendor disbursements
  • Outstanding invoice records
  • Accounts payable management
  • Current inventory assessments
  • Inventory valuation
  • Payroll processing
  • Compensation analysis

Generate precise reports for accounting and plant management, covering areas such as:

  • Profit and loss financial statements
  • Management production reports
  • End-of-month inventory evaluations
  • Cost analysis for products and raw materials
  • Inter-company documentation
  • Employment contract reviews
  • Compensation assessments

Enhance information flow and minimize paperwork within the plant and office environments. Support Controllers and Management in ensuring accurate inventory records.

Additional Duties

Perform any other accounting-related tasks or special reporting projects as directed by the Division Controller or Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance, ideally within three semesters of graduation.
  • Familiarity with contemporary accounting practices and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of current accounting software, including Mapics and WDS.
  • Strong data entry capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build and maintain productive working relationships with managers at Midwest Manufacturing.
