Baird is a leading financial institution seeking highly motivated professionals to join its Financial Advisor Training Program (FATP). This 5-month intensive program is designed to equip new Financial Advisors with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the industry.

The program focuses on four key areas: Licensing & Certifications, Wealth Solutions & Baird Expert Trainings, Team Business Planning Engagement Calls, and Sales Training. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical training, and ongoing support, participants will gain a deep understanding of wealth management principles and develop the confidence to provide exceptional client service.

Upon completion of the program, trainees will become licensed Financial Advisors and join a team of experienced professionals. They will be responsible for cultivating a client base, providing financial solutions, and guiding clients' decision-making processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acquiring new assets through targeted business development efforts
  • Analyzing clients' financial circumstances, including investment portfolios, assets, and liabilities
  • Developing financial plans and making recommendations to clients, considering their short-term and long-term goals
  • Determining investor suitability through analysis of clients' investment objectives, risk tolerance, net worth, income, and investment expertise
  • Advising clients on various products and services, taking into account their objectives, risk tolerance, etc.
  • Integrating Baird products and services into business
  • Guiding clients' decision-making as they position significant assets among various financial instruments
  • Cultivating and maintaining client relationships through successful ongoing interaction, communication, and expertise
  • Marketing the products that offer the most benefit for Baird clients

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Communications. They should also have 3+ years of experience in sales or financial services, preferably with licenses such as SIE, Series 7/63/65 or 7/66. Demonstrated success in sales, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and natural market development skills are essential. A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or similar designation is a plus. Superior organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, monitor, and complete multiple tasks or projects, either independently or with a team, are also required.

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of expertise and responsibilities required.
