Job Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality patient-centered care by the nature and specific requirements of the department. Collaborating with medical providers, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, active listening, and the ability to ensure clear understanding among patients, physicians, and colleagues. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this role may be a great fit for you.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  2. Performs the administration of prescribed medications, monitors patient response, and notifies providers when necessary.
  3. Conducts complete patient evaluations before procedures, including review of patient history and diagnostic tests.
  4. Engages in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, and Teach-Back.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (ADN or BSN)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
