About the Role

UW Medical Center-Montlake is seeking an experienced Medical Anesthesia Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

About the Position

As a Medical Anesthesia Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgical operations, examining patient vital signs, and maintaining anesthesia equipment. You will also assist physicians in the operation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and devices, and observe patients post-procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate anesthesia equipment used for patient care and monitoring, including blood pressure monitors, EKGs/EEGs, and clinical analyzers.
  • Obtain blood samples and provide blood parameters to medical staff as directed.
  • Perform low-level and high-level disinfection of all anesthesia equipment.
  • Related duties as trained and required to support Anesthesia Services.

Requirements

  • Associate of Arts Degree in Biomedical Electronics; OR two years of post-secondary education/training with emphasis in the sciences and one year of work experience in electronics service, maintenance, and repair; OR two years of experience as an Anesthesiology Technician I, Paramedic, Laboratory Technician, or equivalent.

Salary and Benefits
