We are seeking an experienced Shuttle Van Driver in Lincoln, AL to join our team. As a Shuttle Van Driver, you will be responsible for providing support to our auto haulers in the designated terminal location.

Job Description

  • Shift Start">
    • ">
    • Report to supervisor and clock in">
    • Perform daily shuttle van safety check">
    • Check oil, antifreeze level, belts, and hoses for any leaks or damage">
    • Start engine, turn on all lights and beacon, and activate four-way flashers">
    • Walk around unit to ensure all systems are working properly">
    • Inspect tires for proper inflation, cuts, and tread depth">
    • Clean windows and operate wipers">
    • Test horn">

  • Inventory and Supplies">
    • ">
    • Clip board with paper and pencil/pen for logging trucks">
    • Trash bag">
    • Water">
    • Cooler with ice">
    • Radio/phone for communication with dispatch">
    • Maps for yard navigation">

  • Responsibilities">
    • ">
    • Shuttling: Assist auto haulers in locating units for loading">
    • Maintain cleanliness of the shuttle at all times">
    • Remove trash and park shuttle as instructed by supervisor">
    • Perform post-walkaround to ensure all doors are secured and windows are closed">
    ">
  • Yard Maintenance">
    • ">
    • Monitor yard cleanliness and report any issues to supervisor">
    • Clean up straps, rubber blocks, and other debris left by VTC auto haulers">
    • Conduct daily inventory and control checks">
    • Participate in load audits to ensure proper skid extension, pinning, and securement">
    • Complete tasks assigned by management">

Physical Demands

">

The physical demands of this role include extended periods of standing, walking, grasping, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing more than 25 lbs.

FLSA Status

">

This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Reporting Structure

">

The Shuttle Van Driver reports directly to the Terminal Manager.

">

Additional Information

">

This is a second-shift position with a schedule of Monday - Friday, from 3:00pm - 11:30pm.

">

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive wages, paid training, paid time off, company-paid short-term disability, a 401k with company match, company-paid life insurance, free or reduced medical insurance, dental, and vision insurance.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience.
