Job Overview
Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the Central Sterile Supply Manager is accountable for overseeing the activities of staff involved in the preparation and distribution of sterile materials, instruments, supplies, and equipment essential for patient care delivery.

Essential Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Completion of a sterile processing course is required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred; however, equivalent experience in Sterile Processing or Operating Room may be accepted in lieu of formal education.

Experience:
- A significant background (typically 1-3 years) in Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room is required.
- Prior supervisory experience is essential.

Licensure and Certification:
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician from IAHCSMM or CBSPD is required. Those in the role prior to certain regulations will have a specified timeframe to obtain this certification.
- Preferred certification as a Sterile Processing healthcare leader from IAHCSMM or CBSPD.

Skills:
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sterile processing and relevant regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in data processing is required.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively motivate and guide staff.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Competent computer skills are necessary.
