Role Summary: The Commercial Vehicle Upfitting Specialist will be instrumental in converting standard vehicles into tailored workhorses that reflect the specific requirements of our customers. This role involves a range of installations and modifications, from minor accessories to comprehensive vehicle transformations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute installations, modifications, and repairs to commercial vehicles in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
  • Install and integrate various upfitting components, including but not limited to ladder racks, shelving systems, toolboxes, lighting systems, and safety equipment.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to accurately interpret and implement client requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges that may arise during the upfitting process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper handling and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive repair or accessory installation.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
  • Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience with vehicle modifications and repairs.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to the upfitting industry.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, including wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations pertinent to vehicle upfitting.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management capabilities to meet project deadlines.
  • Preferred experience as a Commercial Vehicle Upfitting Specialist or in a related field.
