About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at Interstates. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining client relationships, setting strategic goals, tracking progress, and driving sales activity across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, interview, evaluate, and qualify potential clients to expand our business opportunities.
  • Diagnose business and technical challenges faced by prospects and develop solutions to address their needs.
  • Assist in developing and presenting proposals to clients to secure signed contracts.
  • Regularly visit clients to assess satisfaction and identify additional needs.
  • Build knowledge, expertise, and a robust client network to drive business growth.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and educational events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Conduct industry research and contribute to setting strategic direction for the company.
  • Clearly communicate our value proposition to customers and lead proposal teams to establish a strong value proposition.
  • Maintain organized records of meetings, phone calls, and emails to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • A 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in selling services, with experience in construction being a plus.
