Job Overview

Spectrum Assembly, Inc. is seeking a talented Production Engineering Specialist to enhance our manufacturing team. This role focuses on the evening shift and encompasses a variety of production responsibilities, emphasizing technical proficiency.

The selected candidate will manage projects from the initial concept through to final execution. Responsibilities include developing, refining, and evaluating manufacturing processes, especially during the introduction of new production runs. Working closely with the Lead Engineer, the Specialist will engage in process improvements, formulate manufacturing protocols, perform time assessments to evaluate production efficiency, and enhance equipment arrangement, workflow, assembly techniques, and labor utilization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying essential components, machinery, tools, and methodologies to achieve manufacturing goals aligned with product specifications.
  • Assisting in the accurate preparation of project estimates and translating customer needs into manufacturing process documentation for new product launches.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic manufacturing, particularly in the medical device industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively across various departments.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to manufacturing processes.
  • Results-driven with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledgeable in SMT, System Integration, and Wire & Cable technologies.
  • Familiar with medical industry standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
  • Exceptional planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Understanding of diverse business concepts, practices, and procedures.
