Procurement Specialist in Residential Construction
Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonuses
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (On-Site)

Position Overview:
The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in collaborating with both established and prospective vendors and subcontractors to secure the most advantageous pricing. This position involves managing the procurement process from the initial pricing stage through to the issuance of purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and evaluate all activities related to vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Monitor lumber pricing trends and track lumber futures on a monthly basis.
  • Communicate necessary updates to the vendor database to relevant team members.
  • Generate cost analysis reports and inform management of potential price fluctuations.
  • Contribute to the development of streamlined processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Report pricing discrepancies and issues to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Ensure all price adjustments receive approval from the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all vendors and subcontractors.
  • Manage quotes for rental equipment, including scheduling deliveries and pickups.
  • Input new model takeoffs into the takeoff software and verify their accuracy.
  • Record management-approved new vendors and items in the Eclare system.
  • Prepare job initiation information in the Takeoff Software and generate purchase orders in the Accounting Software.
  • Accurately input preliminary budget figures.
  • Issue vendor purchase orders upon job initiation completion.
  • Upload PO Summary Reports and relevant scopes into Scheduling Software for visibility to Superintendents and Project Managers.
  • Complete Buildertrend tasks as assigned.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as necessary.
