Job Summary

As a Room Service Supervisor at Disability Solutions, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our room service department. This includes supervising staff, scheduling, and ensuring that all aspects of hospitality suite setup, service, and breakdown are executed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform departmental opening and closing duties, including inventorying supplies and inspecting equipment.
  • Monitor and supervise department staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Schedule Star Service Delivery staff according to established guidelines and forecasted needs.
  • Oversee all aspects of hospitality suite setup, service, and breakdown, including coordinating activities and ensuring timely performance of all necessary duties.
  • Ensure that proper charge authorization or payment for orders delivered is obtained.
  • Monitor completion of departmental paperwork to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate pick up of soiled room service trays and carts from guestrooms and corridors.
  • Ensure cleanliness of room service area and equipment.
  • Assign and verify completion of closing duties at end of shift.
  • Oversee all activities related to restocking of guestroom refreshment pantries.
  • Monitor and maintain refreshment pantry product inventory.
  • Coordinate maintenance of all guestroom refreshment pantries and restocking equipment.
  • Coordinate pick up, processing, and delivery of guest laundry valet orders.
  • Perform administrative functions for department in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Maintain special service/amenity requests files and coordinate delivery of items requested.
  • Oversee and assist in setup, delivery of service in hospitality suites.
  • Attend meetings as required to communicate with personnel and stay current with pertinent hotel information and activities.
  • Coach, counsel, train, and retrain employees as needed to ensure provision of superior levels of service.


Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One plus years experience as Room Service Supervisor/Captain in high volume, quality hotel operation.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality room service techniques and standards.
  • Familiar with all aspects of providing superior guest service.
  • Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of or ability to learn various hospitality software applications preferably HIS, Aloha, Espresso.
  • Effective organization, communication, leadership, and management skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighing 35+ pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
