Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Customs Brokerage Specialist to enhance our customer service and satisfaction levels. This role involves resolving shipment-related inquiries and collaborating with management and staff to meet service standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage customs brokerage processes for both air and ocean shipments.
2. Conduct data entry and process various import documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and Participating Government Agencies (PGAs).
3. Follow up on customs-related issues and troubleshoot problems.
4. Address inquiries from customers and inter-company communications.
5. Classify goods according to the harmonized tariff schedule across a wide range of commodities.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Customs Brokerage for air and ocean shipments.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
5. Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Familiarity with Customs Brokerage software; experience with Cargowise is advantageous.
7. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
