We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Meat Service Counter Associate to join our team at KTA Super Stores. As a Meat Service Counter Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by properly preparing, packing, pricing, and displaying various prepared meat, pork, and poultry products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promptly and efficiently greet, thank, and offer assistance to all customers.
  • Prepare, pack, price, and display various prepared meat, pork, and poultry products.
  • Prepare various marinades and seasonings.
  • Frequently use meat trays and pricing machines to perform essential duties.
  • Occasionally use telephone to order merchandise and assist customers and co-workers with requests.
Working Conditions

Continuously work in a chilled room where it may be wet, noisy, and extremely cold, and with a strong smell of raw meat and seafood.

Requirements
  • Must have basic math skills, be able to multitask to accomplish work on time, be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be able to work under minimal or no supervision.
  • Knowledge of various cuts of meat and pork is preferred.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age to work in a walk-in freezer or chill box, and use a case cutter and knife.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to clean, maintain, or operate, a band saw, hamburger machine, meat grinder, meat slicer, bone duster, meat tenderizer, automatic wrapper, freight elevator, trash baler, and any other power-driven equipment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Driver License, and receive company certification to operate a forklift.
