Diagnostic Echocardiographer

As a Diagnostic Echocardiographer with DispatchHealth Imaging, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the comfort of patients' homes. You will be responsible for performing echocardiography studies, utilizing portable echocardiography equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform echocardiography studies in various settings, including patients' homes, senior care facilities, and correctional facilities.
Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality images and accurate diagnoses.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain complete acquisition of images for clinical diagnosis.
Demonstrate safe work practices, including proper body mechanics and use of personal protective equipment.
Collect and verify required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
Operate portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities at patients' bedsides or other designated exam settings.
Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
Transmit images and associated documentation to cardiologists in a timely manner according to company protocols.
Complete all forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols.
Upload required documents into company systems according to company protocols.
Maintain equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting according to company procedures.
Take good care of company vehicles, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies prior to each shift.
Operate and behave in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Orient new staff and train students, if requested.
Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading cardiologists, customer call-backs, and other administrative and customer support functions as directed.
Act professionally, exhibiting courtesy, friendliness, and a positive attitude when interacting with coworkers, patients, patient families, client staff, physicians, and others.
Requirements:
To qualify as a Diagnostic Echocardiographer, you must meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state license to perform, including one or more of the following:
Adult Cardiac Sonographer with a satisfactory completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in adult echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound studies.
ARDMS registered in adult echocardiography with RDCS (AE) designation or CCI registered with Cardiac Sonographer designation required.
Two (2) years' experience as a cardiac sonographer or vascular tech preferred.
Additional Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) desired.
Must have ability to perform quality and compete echocardiogram studies and possess excellent organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and organize daily assignments of the job.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Must have a working knowledge of other departmental procedures and equipment.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Must demonstrate basic computer skills to perform date entry.
Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
