Job Summary

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Student Leader to join our team. As a Student Leader, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and inclusive community for students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Host a minimum of 2 events/programs/workshops during the academic year to engage and interact with CeO scholars.
  • Host a minimum of 1 collaboration event/program/workshop during the academic year to foster teamwork and community building.
  • Keep documentation and records of Eboard notes, program/event/workshop attendance, and receipts.
  • Communicate weekly with Eboard members and Advisor to ensure seamless collaboration and planning.
  • Practice respectful and inclusive behavior when working with Eboard members, scholars, staff, and guests.
  • Encourage CeO scholars to attend events/programs/workshops and participate in community-building activities.
Requirements
  • Must be a CeO Scholar.
  • Must have good academic standing status.
  • Must commit to a full academic year.
  • Willing to create a healthy and safe space for CeO scholars and build community and connections.
  • Must be punctual and committed to the necessary time for Eboard meetings, collaboration meetings, advisor meetings, events/programs/general meetings during the academic year.
  • Be self-directed, dependable, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Must take initiative to lead or support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of CeO's mission and values.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or Google versions and Google Drive.
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The Student Leader will be paid up to 3 hours per week, with the potential to earn more hours when hosting events/programs/workshops and participating in collaboration meetings and activities.

Working Environment

The Student Leader will work in a dynamic and inclusive environment, collaborating with Eboard members, scholars, staff, and guests to create a positive and supportive community.
