Aquidneck Island Climate Resilience Initiative

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Aquidneck Island Climate Resilience Fellow. The fellow will play a critical role in supporting the development of a comprehensive climate resilience action plan for the island, working closely with local stakeholders and community groups.

Job Summary:

The Climate Resilience Action Plan Engagement Fellow will be responsible for coordinating community engagement efforts, developing materials, and facilitating meetings to support the development of the climate resilience action plan. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project that aligns with your passion for climate resilience and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate community outreach and engagement efforts, including organizing meetings and events.
  • Develop educational materials, such as brochures, social media posts, and website content, to promote the climate resilience action plan.
  • Facilitate working group meetings and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Research and analyze existing plans and policies related to climate resilience.
  • Collaborate with the community engagement manager to develop a community engagement strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, communications, or public policy.
  • Proven experience in community engagement, outreach, and facilitation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and graphic design software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Estimated Salary: $48,363 per year.
