Position Summary:
The Field Sales Consultant is tasked with promoting and selling internet, voice, and cable television services within a designated area. This role involves engaging in door-to-door outreach, identifying and qualifying potential leads, upgrading existing clients, and effectively closing sales with both new and current customers. The Field Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in driving individual performance to help the company achieve its growth objectives.
Work schedule includes Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 7 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engages residential clients through various strategies, including door-to-door sales, distributing promotional materials, and participating in community events;
- Generates lists of potential customers for sales outreach based on inquiries, direct mail responses, business directories, online resources, and other channels;
- Conducts follow-up calls to prospective and existing clients via phone and email to qualify leads and promote products and services;
- Consults with potential clients to understand their needs and presents tailored solutions, highlighting key features, pricing options, and credit terms;
- Solicits referrals for new prospects and successfully closes sales;
- Maintains and updates the prospect database and sales pipeline daily, ensuring accuracy and fulfillment of customer orders;
- Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and fosters a positive image of Ritter Communications;
- Stays informed about company offerings and competitor services, promotions, and initiatives;
- Exhibits strong persuasive skills;
- Processes customer orders at the conclusion of transactions and sets clear expectations regarding order fulfillment;
- Focuses on achieving sales goals and delivering results;
- Travels to customer locations, project sites, and business-related events as necessary;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of the telecommunications sector;
- Familiarity with telecom operations, technologies, and equipment;
- Knowledge of sales principles and practices;
- Awareness of company products and services;
- Proficiency in using various office equipment, including computers and software applications;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers, colleagues, and business contacts;
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to make informed decisions based on available information;
- Willingness to travel for business purposes; must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required; two to three years of experience in direct sales within the telecommunications or IT services sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
