Job Summary

The Electrical Controls and Project Engineer is a key role within Collins Pine Co, responsible for designing, configuring, integrating, and implementing process control solutions for our wood products manufacturing facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical or mechanical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
  • Examine facility processes to develop and implement changes and new designs that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide technical support for Programmable Logical Controller based hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with electrical supervisors to maintain documentation related to process control system configuration.
  • Assist with planning and budgeting for facility shutdown activities.
Requirements
  • Oregon electrical license required (Plant Manufacturing Journey or General Journey License).
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar position required.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Experience with continuous manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with steam, hydraulic, and pneumatics systems.
Working Conditions

May be exposed to dust, noise, trip hazards, and variable weather and temperatures. Required Personal Protective Equipment includes high visibility garments, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, a hard hat, foot protection, a face shield, and a respirator.
