Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at DWFritz. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom electrical systems for precision automation applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Electrical software.
  • Specify, select, and integrate electrical components, including motors, controllers, servos, robots, power supplies, circuit breakers, cameras, lasers, filters, and sensors.
  • Develop electrical panel designs and layouts, including 2D and 3D schematics.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, including UL, NFPA, and CE.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to implement electrical designs.
  • Create bills of material and specifications for component purchases.
  • Communicate with project managers and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support assembly and debugging activities, and provide technical support during system integration.
Requirements
  • Strong experience with PLC programming, preferably with Siemens or Allen Bradley.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and integrating automation tools.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Industrial automation experience, with proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical 2D schematics and 3D layout.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of UL, NFPA, and CE standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of direct experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on automation and manufacturing.
  • Experience with safety requirements and risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management software and ECO/ECR implementation.
  • Knowledge of NFPA79 and CE standards.
