Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and processing specimens in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient and specimen information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect blood samples from adult, pediatric, and infant patients using established procedures and techniques.
  • Process specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and specimen collection.
  • Remain aware of patient emotional and physiological conditions and report any abnormalities to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy from a national organization preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of Phlebotomy experience or completion of a Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant education program required.
