Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomist/Laboratory Technician to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy duties, donor desk tasks, and coordinating with the Laboratory Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform phlebotomy duties, including tracking blood draw and urine specimen testing intervals, and ensuring specimens are collected and submitted in a timely manner.
- Conduct donor desk duties, including checking in donors, verifying specimen cups, scheduling appointments, and scanning and filing donor worksheets and manifests.
- Coordinate with the Laboratory Manager to ensure the laboratory runs efficiently, including aliquoting media, staining morphology slides, post-thaw analysis, quality control checks, and routine cleaning of laboratory equipment.
- Comply with all regulatory, quality assurance, quality control, standard operating, and safety procedures.
- Participate in proficiency and competency assessments, and review standard operating procedures.
- One to two years of related experience and/or training.
- Phlebotomy Certificate required, High School Diploma minimum, and Bachelor's degree in science preferred.
