Key Responsibilities:- Determine initial and continuing eligibility for public assistance programs, including CalFresh, Medi-Cal, and cash aid.
- Conduct interviews and gather financial information to assess client eligibility.
- Interpret and explain program regulations to clients and provide guidance on available resources.
- Make referrals to community resources and provide support to clients in need.
- 6 months of experience as a journey-level Eligibility Worker in a California Department of Social Services, performing duties equivalent to an Eligibility Worker II in San Bernardino County.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, time management, and computer skills.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable, with positions assigned to bilingual caseloads eligible for additional compensation.
