Job Title: Resident Manager

TELACU Residential Management, Inc. (TRM) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Resident Manager to join our team. As a key member of our community management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential communities, providing exceptional service to our residents, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of community operations, including rent collections, tenant relations, occupancy, financial reporting, and regulatory agency compliance.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, onsite staff, and supervisory teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with the Financial Operations Manager to ensure the community is operating within approved budget.
  • Enforce rental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Process applicants and leases units in accordance with the Tenant Selection Plan and company policies.
  • Conduct regular unit inspections and ensure timely completion of semi-annual unit inspections.
  • Prepare and distribute recertification notices and ensure successful completion of annual recertifications.
  • Develop and maintain good tenant relations, adhering to all applicable Fair Housing laws.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local government agencies and other local organizations.
  • Complete and submit monthly occupancy and accounting reports, as well as other reports as required by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of experience managing assisted housing for elderly and/or physically challenged developments under the HUD Section 202/8, 202 or 811 Program preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Highly organized and able to make quick decisions, with a professional demeanor in handling resident and employee relations.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in managing the community.
  • Integrity, respect, and responsibility in dealing with residents and other employees.
  • Preferred bilingual and fluent in the language of the community in which they will serve.
