Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality mammographic imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammograms.
  • Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, ensuring comfort and explaining the process.
  • Operate Hologic Selenia Dimensions mammography equipment to capture detailed images of breast tissue.
  • Review and assess the quality of mammographic images, adjusting as needed to achieve optimal results.
  • Accurately record patient information, imaging results, and technical details in electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, breast specialists, and other healthcare professionals to communicate findings and integrate mammography results into patient care plans.
  • Conduct quality control checks on mammography equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide empathetic and informative support to patients, educating them about mammography procedures, breast health, and follow-up care.
Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and Mammography Technologist (RT(M)) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
  • Proficiency in operating mammography equipment and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in performing and documenting mammography procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care, especially in sensitive situations.
