Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Inspector to join our team. As an Inspector, you'll be responsible for performing field inspections, material testing, and documentation, as well as enforcing construction plans, specifications, and contract documents. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field inspections and material testing to ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications
  • Document and report findings, including discrepancies or conflicts within documents
  • Enforce construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • NY State Thruway Authority or NY State Department of Transportation experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current NICET Highway / Bridge Construction Certification, Level II (or NICET II equivalent)
  • Technical school or Associate degree
  • Relevant industry certifications
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
