Industrial Electrical Technician

The Industrial Electrical Technician is a pivotal role in GE Gas Power's manufacturing process, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of system-controlled robotics, machine tools, and equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, including CNC machine tools, PLC ladder, VFD motors, and robotics.
Key Responsibilities
As an Industrial Electrical Technician, you will:
- Maintain and repair electrical aspects of CNC machine tools, PLC ladder, VFD motors, and robotics
- Diagnose problems, plan, and complete work required, identify and order parts
- Install, modify, troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical and electronic control systems up to 600V
- Maintain and modify machine tools, process equipment, and facilities
- Apply knowledge of components, devices, and equipment used in industrial equipment applications and the related electronics, including AC and DC motors, motor controls, electronic drives, PLC, instrumentation, and sensors
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology/Mechatronics or a High School Diploma/GED with Military Advanced Electronics Training Course
- Ability and willingness to work off shifts and weekends
- Ability and willingness to work either 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Monday - Friday
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing facility in a technical maintenance role, familiarity with electrical motors and control circuits, strong electrical fundamental and safety knowledge, and prior experience with operating systems, software, and ladder logic used in PLC systems to diagnose and repair circuits to restore operation.
Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $28.07 to $35.96 per hour, with a $7.00 per hour transition adder. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for contractually negotiated general wage increases and COLA increases. Additionally, this position is eligible for a Night Shift Bonus of $1.00/hour. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
