The Ideal Candidate

 

As a Regional Sales Director at Genesco, you will oversee a region consisting of Johnston & Murphy Retail, Factory, and Airport locations. Your responsibilities will include identifying, retaining, and developing talent in line with the P.R.I.D.E. model, managing sales results, store operations, expense budgets, and overall profitability. You will provide direct supervision for Store Managers within your assigned region.

 

  • Direct Supervision: Directly supervise Store Managers in 21 locations and 1 Market Manager in New England, NY, NJ, and Long Island, spending 80% of your time in stores to see each store once a month.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, hire, and train store teams in adherence with the J&M P.R.I.D.E. model.
  • Sales Performance: Meet sales targets and drive metric performance in each store within your region.
  • Cost Management: Manage selling costs and travel expenses within your region.
  • Company Initiatives: Implement company initiatives and act as a liaison between field personnel within the region and the corporate offices.
  • Operational Standards: Support all store opening, closing, and remodel projects within your region, meeting all operational standards and utilizing company tools to motivate and coach your team.
