Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician Lead coordinates the overall operation of the pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient and effective medication therapy. This role serves as a liaison between the department and staff, Information Systems, physicians, patients, family, and other site staff. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the operation of pharmacy technicians, including staffing and work assignments.
  • Serves as a liaison between the department and staff, Information Systems, physicians, patients, family, and other site staff.
  • Performs pharmaceutical procedures for medication preparation and distribution.
  • Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures.
  • May be responsible for performing specific tasks and/or orienting other staff to the department.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) certification or equivalent.
  • 4 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Strong clinical skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize assignments, and maintain accurate records. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
