Job Summary

The Department of Pharmaceutical Services at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician 2 to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician 2, you will play a critical role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients at all acute care pharmacy areas and specialized services to researchers on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities related to medication preparation, medication distribution, and inventory management.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient medication profiles and inventory management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to pharmaceutical services.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized/accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
