Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor and uphold equipment performance within factory-defined standards.
- Guide clients in the proper use and upkeep of system equipment.
- Act as the primary contact for clients regarding assigned projects, including installations and significant component replacements.
- Execute intricate repair and maintenance tasks or unit replacements in accordance with factory protocols, both independently and collaboratively.
Provide expert technical assistance to clients, addressing inquiries related to operational procedures, equipment issues, and other technical challenges to minimize downtime and foster positive client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (including technical training or military background) along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency or familiarity with optical systems, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skills, or chemicals is essential.
- Preferred knowledge of the Linux operating system for effective system operation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on mechanical and electronic testing skills are required.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible work schedules is necessary.
- Compliance with company safety protocols and policies is mandatory.
This position demands continuous physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motions, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted. Lifting over 25 pounds may require assistance. Employees may need to work at a computer for extended periods and must possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Mental alertness is crucial, and ongoing knowledge of Haz/Com regulations is expected.
Employees will work in a cleanroom environment, necessitating the use of protective gear. Exposure to various atmospheric conditions, such as dust, fumes, noise, and temperature variations (within OSHA standards), may occur. Travel, both domestic and international, may be part of the role.
