Job Summary:

As a Bar Service Expert at Fudpucker's Beachside Bar & Grill of Destin, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to each guest, ensuring their experience exceeds expectations. Your primary focus will be on taking drink orders from patrons or wait staff, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes. You will also actively sell food and beverage items by offering suggestions, mix ingredients for cocktails, and serve wines and bottled or draught beer. Additionally, you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of the bar, entering drink orders into the register, collecting payment, and making change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service to each guest, ensuring a positive Fudpucker's experience.
  • Take drink orders from patrons or wait staff and prepare and serve drinks according to standard recipes.
  • Actively sell food and beverage items by offering suggestions.
  • Mix ingredients for cocktails and serve wines and bottled or draught beer.
  • Responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of the bar.
  • Enter drink orders into the register, collect payment, and make change.

Requirements:

  • Must be age 21 or older (unless state law permits younger age). High school graduate or equivalent desired.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills, including a pleasant and friendly demeanor.
  • Must have basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes.
  • Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand the primary language(s) of the work location and understand the primary language(s) of the guests who typically visit the work location.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, Monday through Sunday, for no more than a 25-week seasonal period.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to remain stationary for long periods of time, reach, bend, and stoop. You must also be able to lift trays frequently weighing up to 30 pounds and carry them up and down stairs. In addition, you will be required to maintain a clean and safe bar area throughout each shift and thoroughly clean it prior to clocking out. You will also be expected to comply with all Fudpucker's policies and procedures as per the Employee Handbook.
