Compensation:

We provide a competitive salary and benefits package that aligns with our organizational values and mission. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $19.46 to $22.87, commensurate with experience.



Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Facilities Maintenance Associate is to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities, creating a welcoming and dignified environment for residents. This role involves performing cleaning duties throughout the buildings and grounds, as well as executing light maintenance tasks.



Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours per week)

Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school education or GED; at least 2 years of experience in janitorial services. Experience working with low-income populations, families, and seniors is preferred.

Required License/Certification:
Candidates must possess a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license, along with personal car liability insurance. This is a condition of employment, and the vehicle should be safe and dependable (mileage will be reimbursed).

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintenance & Grounds: Adhere to a maintenance checklist to ensure facilities are safe and well-presented.
- Conduct regular cleaning of all common areas, restrooms, lounges, kitchens, etc.
- Maintain the exterior of the building through routine cleaning and grounds upkeep.
- Coordinate daily trash collection, empty trash containers, and manage bulk or regular pickups.
- Keep an inventory of cleaning, maintenance, and building supplies.
- Perform snow and ice removal from walkways.
- Input work orders into the work order system as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas during move-in and move-out processes.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Familiarity with cleaning and maintenance practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse populations.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Effective time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries.


Reports To:
Property Manager

Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating stairs. The role involves stooping, bending, sweeping, and lifting.

Position Designation:
This role is classified as Safety Sensitive and may require drug testing prior to or during employment. Candidates may be disqualified based on the presence of marijuana in test results, even with a medical card for authorized use.
