Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Guest Services Associate at Wollman Rink NYC. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests across various areas, including the entrance, shop sales, customer service, locker and skate rental, patio, and VIP section.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor at the entrance, answering any questions and providing directions as needed.
  • Assist guests in the shop, offering product recommendations, processing sales transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
  • Manage the locker and skate rental process, including issuing and collecting rental equipment, organizing inventory, and ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Oversee patio operations, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests, responding promptly to any medical emergencies or incidents, and coordinating with appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests in the VIP section, attending to their needs, ensuring their comfort, and addressing any special requests.
  • Assist with event coordination and execution, including setting up and dismantling VIP areas, arranging seating, and coordinating with event staff to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and guest interactions, utilizing appropriate systems and procedures.
  • Uphold safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak periods and special events.
  • Stay updated on current promotions, events, and activities to provide accurate and up-to-date information to guests.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in cash handling and point-of-sale systems, with a basic understanding of retail operations.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the event schedule.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a memorable experience for guests.
Working Environment:

This position generally requires that work be performed from Wollman Rink NYC offices. This position requires frequent outdoor work and exposure to varying weather conditions due to the nature of the business. Availability to work evening, weekends, and holidays.
