Job Title: Diesel Service Journeyman/Mechanic - Night Shift

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is a leading provider of heavy-duty truck dealership and leasing services. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Service Journeyman/Mechanic to join our team on a night shift basis.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will perform all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair technician under minimal supervision. This includes performing skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, troubleshooting major problems, and working with and training apprentice technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimum supervision.
  • Perform trouble shooting on major problems.
  • Work with and help train apprentice technicians.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
  • Advises the Service Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
  • Maintain favorable relations with customers.
  • Participates in training to stay abreast of new technology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements:
  • CDL
  • A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications
  • Must have at a minimum, one specialization (i.e., engine, drive train).
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience or vocational
  • Necessary tools to perform position.
  • Must have good customer relations and communication.
